The Future of Turn-key Living
Inside the Sirius Penthouse: A Fully Turn-Key Interior by Freeman & Co
Perched above Sydney Harbour in The Rocks, the penthouse crowning the landmark Sirius redevelopment represents one of the most exclusive residential offerings ever brought to the Australian market. With panoramic views stretching from the Harbour Bridge to the Opera House, the residence is expected to command 40 Million AUD.
While the architecture and interiors were conceived by Freeman & Co, transforming the penthouse into a ready-to-live luxury experience.
Freeman & Co were commissioned to deliver a complete furnishing and styling program designed to match the scale and prestige of the property. Rather than traditional staging, the team curated an extensive collection of bespoke furniture, artworks, soft furnishings and lifestyle elements, creating a cohesive environment that allows a future owner to move in immediately.
The project included over 2-Million dollars of furniture and fine art, with every element carefully selected to complement the penthouse’s architecture and its uninterrupted harbour outlook.
The Sirius building itself carries a unique history. Originally constructed as public housing in the 1970s, the brutalist landmark was later redeveloped into a $585 million luxury residential project comprising 76 apartments. Rather than treating furniture as decoration, the studio curated each space as part of a cohesive narrative — balancing sculptural pieces with softer textures and layered materials.
“The aim was to create a residence that feels both globally sophisticated and unmistakably Sydney” states Creative Director and Founder Jack Freeman, with interiors that echo the tones of the harbour, sandstone and sky visible through the floor-to-ceiling glazing” Artworks and objects were chosen to reinforce this sense of place while maintaining the international standard expected in a property of this calibre. Turn-key residences are increasingly common in the upper tier of the global property market. High-net-worth buyers often expect homes to be delivered fully furnished, eliminating the time and complexity involved in sourcing furniture, art and décor after purchase.
For developers and agents, a curated interior can also help buyers envision the lifestyle a property offers — especially in trophy properties where scale can otherwise feel abstract. In the Sirius penthouse, Freeman & Co’s curated interior transforms the residence into more than just a property listing. It becomes a complete living environment, ready to be experienced the moment the keys change hands.
